Let me just start by saying how much I love using printables around the house. I even created my own Printables Library (FREE to everyone), which continues to grow as new ideas pop into my head. They are a great way to create inexpensive artwork for any room in your home. And, the best part is that you can easily change them whenever you feel like it (I love to change mine up with the Holidays). Bathrooms are a particularly great place for printables, because you typically don’t have a lot of wall space for large artwork, so smaller framed printables work perfectly. BATHROOM PRINTABLES
I created a set of four bathroom printables that you can either use alone, in pairs, or in a gallery of four. These black and white printables will look really great in a black or rustic wood frame. Read on for some of my tips for printing and framing these printables.
TIPS
- These FREE bathroom printables are sized for regular letter sized paper, and are intended to be cut to size for an 8×10 frame. You can print them larger, if you’d like, but you may run into issues with the picture quality if you get too big.
- I recommend using high quality paper, and the best print setting on your printer. I prefer to use cardstock paper because I like the thickness/stiffness of it for framing, but you can use anything. You can also print these on colored or textured paper (like a vintage kraft paper). It’s a fun way to change the look of them.
- I recommend using a cutting mat, straight edge, and Exacto knife to cut your printables (you can see these in action in the image below). I’ve provided affiliate links to some of my favorite products on Amazon for your convenience a little further down.
- I always recommend “hanging” your picture frames with Command Adhesive Picture Hanging strips. They are just so easy to use, and you won’t have to fill your walls with nail holes using these babies.
- I also like to use a small level when I put up my printables, to make sure they are straight. When you use nails, you can adjust the tip/tilt of the frame on the wall. But, with command adhesive strips, there’s not a lot of adjusting you can do once they are mounted on the wall. Yes, you can take them off the wall and remount them, since the strips are velcro. But, I’ve found it’s just better if I can mount the frame straight on the wall the first time.
Head on over to the printables library, where you can find these bathroom printables. You’ll also find lots of other designs for different rooms in your house. And, if you ever have an idea for a printable, just let me know. I’d be happy to use your idea as inspiration for a new printable in the library!
