coastal guest bedroom virtual room design

If youโ€™ve ever dreamed of waking up to the calming vibes of a beachside retreat, then youโ€™re going to love what I have in store for you today. I recently helped a client bring the coastal look right into their bedroom, and Iโ€™m super excited to share the mood board we created. Think soft blues, natural textures, and that airy, breezy feel that makes you think of sand between your toes and ocean waves. In this post, Iโ€™ll walk you through all the dreamy elements of our coastal bedroom decor and mood board and share links to the gorgeous products we used, so you can bring this look to life in your own space. Let’s dive in!

Because this was a guest room, I wanted it to feel like a retreat for visitors, and create a coastal design that would appeal to a variety of tastes. I chose a soothing coastal color palette with blues, crisp white, and neutral grays and beiges. Adding in furniture with a light, natural finish and a neutral paint color on the walls helps to complete the look. I love how this room turned out, and I think we’ve created a space guests may never want to leave!

If you’d like to create a similar look for your bedroom, I’ve included links to many of the products used in the design. The paint color on the walls is Benjamin Moore’s Classic Gray, which is a beautiful, very light, warm gray.

The Lori End Tables with Drawers (in Barn Blue finish) are made by Safavieh and come in a variety of colors. They have great reviews and a nice low price point! Their beautiful blue finish tends to work great with a variety of light blue pillow and bedding options, and soft blue rugs.

The rug is one of my favorites. It’s the Magnolia Home Ella Rose Blue Rug, which you can get from Magnolia, and some other retailers. The colors and pattern are just so pretty, and this rug works with many different styles (not just coastal).

That stunning photographic artwork is a piece called Stormy Pier by Kamala Nahas. You can order it in a variety of sizes and frame styles from Minted (one of my favorite places to shop for art) There’s actually several prints in this collection, all with the same serene neutral color palette.

The second large piece of artwork is the Out to Sea Framed Canvas from Pottery Barn. This is a fantastic, abstract piece, with lovely blue and brown tones that would look great in a living room. It’s a little pricey, so you might want to wait for a sale.
