One aspect of my job that I absolutely love is creating virtual designs for clients across the country. Not only do I get to meet some fantastic people, and help improve their spaces, but virtual design it a fantastic way to showcase what the final room will look like, before ever purchasing a single item. Here is a relaxing, coastal guest bedroom I recently designed for a client in Southern California.

I wanted this room to feel like a retreat for guests, and create a design that would appeal to a variety of tastes. I chose a soothing coastal color palette with blues, crisp white, and neutral grays and beiges. Adding in furniture with a light, natural finish and a neutral paint color on the walls helps to complete the look. I love how this room is turning out, and I think we’ve created a space guests may never want to leave!

If you’d like to create a similar look for your bedroom, I’ve included links to many of the products in the design below. The paint color on the walls is Benjamin Moore’s Classic Gray, which is a beautiful, very light, warm gray.
