We love our kids, and would love for them to have an amazing bedroom that matches their unique personalities. Today, I’m going to share my three favorite color schemes for girls bedrooms. ย The reason I love these color schemes so much is that they can be used for any age – from young girls through teenage years. ย If you need ideas, I have rounded up some fabulous pictures from each bedroom color scheme to show the beautiful range of looks you can achieve by using these colors, along with some products for achieving the look.

#1 Turquoise and Coral
Or aqua and coral, or teal and salmon…whichever you prefer. ย This is my all-time favorite color combination for a girl’s bedroom. ย Why? ย Because I love the vibrant, energetic feel of the coral against the soothing and relaxing vibe of the turquoise. ย It strikes a perfect balance and reminds me of a bright summer day at the beach. Since these two colors are opposites on the color wheel, they create a natural visual contrast that is pleasing for our eyes.
There are lots of great options out there for coral and turquoise bedding and accessories. To really enhance the design, paint the walls and/or furniture a bright coral or a tranquil aqua. Then, bring in a neutral that ties everything together, like a crisp white.ย Need recommendations for a great coral paint color? Check out Sherwin-Williams Coral Reef or Benjamin Moore Coral Gables.
Let’s take a look at some great examples of this color scheme.

#2 Black and White and Teal
This classic color scheme is a great option for girls bedrooms. You can have fun using different patterns of black and white, with pops of teal or mint green, to create a beautiful focal point. ย I’ve seen this combination used in nurseries, and even master bedrooms, so it definitely works for a wide range of ages. ย In my opinion, this combination works best when the majority of the room is neutral tones of black and white, with the teal used as an accent color, rather than the other way around. Also, keeping the bedroom walls a light color (white, aqua, or pale mint) keeps the entire space looking bright and airy. If you want a little more depth to the design, you could also incorporate shades of gray to add another layer of “color.”

The great thing about using black and white in your color scheme is that you can mix and match patterns to create visual interest throughout the room. I love the idea of using black vinyl decals, like polka dots or triangles, on white walls to create a patterned accent wall. Click here for one of my favorite products for black polka dot decals.

#3 Pink and Gray
Pink has always been a perfect choice for a little girl’s room, but pale pink and gray has also become a huge trend for teenage girl bedroom colors today. Pink is a decidedly feminine color, and pairs well with soothing gray to create a girly, yet timeless combination. It’s even better when accented with gold or silver bling and luxurious textures like velvet and faux fur! Using simple white bedding, and then adding in your gray and pink colors with pillows, art, and accessories is a great way to bring this color scheme to life and make it flexible for years to come.
Need a lovely, soft pink paint color for the walls? Some of my favorite pink paint colors include BM Bashful, SW Intimate White, or BM Love & Happiness.

Wow, I admit black and white has always been timeless but that teal color….is just calling me! But so is the pink and grey too.
Sometimes it can be so hard to narrow down to just one option! ๐
I love these color combinations! My pre-teen is leaning toward sage green for her wall color and brown accents, because she wants an “earthy” look. I’m going to show her these and see if she is open to other options. Thank you! ๐
Thanks! Glad to provide some potential inspiration. I’m sure with your guidance, she’ll make a fabulous decision. ๐
I’m partial to the pink and grey, but all of them are lovely! Thanks for sharing!
I used to think pink and gray was only for nurseries or little girls, but there are so many chic and beautiful rooms for teens (and even adults) that are using that color combination! It’s been elevated to a sophisticated color palette for bedrooms in recent years.
They are all fun and have a bit of an unexpected edge. I’m all for that. I think the first color grouping was my favorite. If you had asked me a couple of years back I might have said the black and white with infusions of color. I have always been a fan of black and white and did our last home in that classic pairing. You just can’t miss with it. The pink and gray is a feminine and sophisticated take on a girl’s room. I would be more likely to do it in a nursery. My daughter would want something a bit less sedate.

Thanks for stopping in! I love the weekly inspiration I get from all of the talented people on link parties. My daughter has a teal and coral bedroom, and it suits her personality well. I think pink and gray would have been too “quiet” for her. ๐
Love this post for inspiration! I recently restyled my daughter’s room. It’s mainly white and has accents of pale blues and pinks. Very rustic and modern! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for stopping by! Your daughter’s room sounds beautiful. Great choice of colors!
Such a pretty post. I love all these ideas. I do a guest room up for my little grand daughters and its so fun to make special for them. Theses ones are gorgeous.
Thanks Leanna! What lucky granddaughters you have!
So many fun possibilities! ๐
These are all darling! My grandson got married in our garden last year. Their colors were aqua and coral. Thanks to them I now have those colors in my outdoor space. I am going to show this to my 12 year old granddaughter and her mother. They are building a new home and Paityn is wanting blush pink and gold in her bedroom. I think she’ll love the pink and grey rooms. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
So glad to hear this post can help others! Thanks so much for your comment!
I love teal for a room color! These themes make me want a little girl’s room to decorate!
Where can I find those curtains in the second picture?
