Happy Friday everyone! Today I’m going to show you an easy way to make a great Halloween centerpiece that you can use to set the mood for your Halloween party, or as a decoration for your front porch, or wherever else a little Halloween decor is needed.
Step 1
Get yourself a cheap black planter urn. I bought my 19″ urn online from Amazon.com for about $22, but you can often find them at garden stores, too. If you can’t find black, you can always buy another color and just use some spray paint to change it to black.
Step 2
Gather up some dead sticks from your front yard (or the neighbor’s). Hopefully you’ve had a nice windy day recently, and can find plenty of sticks laying around in your yard.
Step 3
Purchase some fake moss – I think spanish moss looks the most eerie for Halloween. I bought mine through Amazon.com for about $6.
Step 4
The last step is to arrange your sticks in your planter urn using some floral foam or newspaper. I just used newspaper, which worked perfectly fine for keeping the sticks upright in the planter and filling the empty spaces. Then, arrange the spanish moss at the top of the planter (having some dangling down the side looks best). For an added effect, you could also tie a burlap or Halloween ribbon around the urn, or add some cobwebs to your sticks.
And that’s it! This Halloween centerpiece is super easy to make, and it sets a great, spooky mood for your table. Have a great week everyone!
